IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm 10.10.x

Running the IDE

In this section:

Click the Start button on the Windows taskbar and choose All Programs>IAR EW for Arm>IAR EW for Arm.

The file IarIde.exe is located in the common\bin directory under your IAR installation, in case you want to start the program from the command line or from within Windows Explorer.

Notice

Under Linux, start the IDE using the method your distribution supports. For example, on Ubuntu, press the Windows key on your keyboard to launch Show Apps and search for IAR Embedded Workbench. If you want to start the program from the command line, the path is /opt/iar/ewarmc/common/bin/iaride.

Double-clicking the workspace file

The workspace file has the filename extension eww. If you double-click a workspace file, the IDE starts.

If you have several versions of IAR Embedded Workbench installed, the workspace file is opened by the most recently used version of your IAR Embedded Workbench that uses that file type, regardless of which version the project file was created in.
