The IAR Command Line Build Utility (iarbuild) is located in the common\bin directory.

The invocation syntax is one of:

iarbuild project.ewp [opmode] {config[,config2,...]|"*"} [options]
iarbuild -E utility options

The first alternative builds your project. The second alternative performs an operation on your project using an external utility.

Using iarbuild

-jsondb

--build_dir

--build_dir directory

Specify a CMake build directory as input to C-STAT. This generates a JSON compilation database of the project.

--compile_commands

--compile_commands filename

Specify an existing JSON compilation database of the project as input to C-STAT (by default named compile_commands.json).

--configuration|-c

--configuration|-c configname

Specify the project configuration to use as input to C-STAT (if you are using the Ninja Multi-Config generator).

--cstat_config_file

--cstat_config_file filename

Specify a C-STAT configuration file in YAML format to use as input to C-STAT. For more information, see The C-STAT configuration file.

--generate_report

--generate_report project

Generates a full report in HTML for the project, which means that all checks (suppressed and non-suppressed) are included at the end of the report.

--output_dir|-o

--output_dir|-o filename

Specify the output directory and filename.

--sarif

--sarif

Stores the output from the analysis in the SARIF format (Static Analysis Results Interchange Format).
