The IAR cloud-based licensing system authenticates the use of your IAR products against the LMSC service. You can authenticate the use with a Named User or a capacity token.

When you install your IAR product on a client computer, you also install the IAR LMSC Daemon as part of the installation process. The daemon communicates with the IAR cloud-based licensing system and verifies the use of your IAR product.
