The Trace Setup dialog box is available from the Emulator menu.

Use this dialog box to configure trace generation and collection for the E1, E2, E2 Lite/E2 On-Board, EZ-CUBE2, and COM Port emulators.

Requirements

One of these alternatives:

  • The E1 emulator

  • The E2 emulator

  • The E2 Lite/E2 On-Board emulator

  • The EZ-CUBE2 emulator

  • The COM Port emulator

Stop condition

Controls how the trace buffer should be handled when it has become full. Choose between:

No stop

The oldest frames are overwritten until a break occurs.

Stop tracing on trace buffer full

The trace stops when the trace buffer is full.

Section trace

In the Section trace start and Section trace stop lists, select the section trace events that should control the trace. If more than one event is selected in the same list, the trace condition will be true when one of the selected events has occurred.

Fill in missing frames

The trace only traces branches. Select this option to calculate and fill in the missing frames.
